Rated 1 out of 5 by Valor from Only When I HAVE To I try to use the other 2 large/common companies for my transparent vinyl. 3M transparent vinyl tears and breaks far too easy when weeding or repositioning. No matter if you are leaving words in vinyl and taking the background off or vice versa, you will tear some part of it while weeding. If you mess up a teensy bit, you've got to tear all the vinyl off, which takes forever, unless you warm it up real nice and burn your fingers as you pull it off. Plus, I don't know what makes it smell so chemically, but I have to open all the bay doors in my shop and put a fan right on my workspace so I won't get a headache, or stick tissues up my nose to block the smell. Also... the last time I used 3M transparent vinyl I left the signs in the cold all night and the vinyl peeled up and bubbled in long lines across the sign. I had to remake them with the other vinyl brand. If this vinyl is supposed to be used for exterior signs, it should be able to last through the cold and freezing temps along with heat. Just sayin'.
