Grimco, Inc.
History

Grimco was founded in 1875 by Charles Grimm. The Grimm Stamp and Badge Company manufactured police and fire badges, branding irons, and other metal stampings. By 1925, Grimco began
embossing license plates and traffic signs. Grimco introduced silk-screened traffic signs in the late 1950's. Within 15 years, screen printing signs became the norm.
By 1980, Grimco began selling signs to distributors and catalog companies. This market grew quickly in the late 1980's, and Grimco extended their product line to include sign
supplies.
